Bonjour! Mark June 27th on your calendar, and come celebrate Shirley Heinze Land Trust’s 6th annual summer gala with a “Taste of Provence.” Join us for an evening under the stars at International Friendship Gardens in Michigan City. Individual tickets are $95 this year.

Vive la France ~ Located in the southeastern corner of France, the region of Provence is widely known for its balmy Mediterranean weather, spectacular landscapes, rich history, and colorful outdoor markets. As for attire, channel your inner joie de vivre! Notable colors of the Provence region include cornflower blue, sunflower yellow, and lavender.

A Taste of the Provence Region ~ The evening will begin with an elegant champagne reception featuring assorted French cheeses, breads, and pâtés. The main entrée is a Provençal-style dish deliciously seasoned with herbs of the Provence region. Finally, you won’t want to miss our decadent desserts, featuring French tarts, petits fours, and gourmet flavored coffees.

Enchanting Entertainment ~ Light chamber music will be provided by musicians from the LaPorte Symphony and South Shore Chamber Orchestra.

Outdoor Auction Market ~ Be ready to bid on an assortment of fine artwork by local artists, visual and performing arts tickets and memberships, fine wine and dining packages, garden and nursery items, and an assortment of charming French gifts and specialty items. Our live auction will feature one-of-a-kind local getaway packages and outdoor adventure packages.

Our annual summer gala offers the Heinze Trust’s friends and supporters a special celebration of our accomplishments over the past year. It also offers the opportunity to learn more about the organization and its important work in Northwest Indiana. Last but not least, the summer gala is an essential source of financial support for our land acquisition and restoration programs. We hope you will join us this year for a unique and elegant event.
