Shirley Heinze Land Trust has endowment funds in the local community foundation of each of the three counties in which we operate: Unity Foundation of LaPorte County, Porter County Community Foundation, and Legacy Foundation of Lake County. These funds are designated to support our stewardship activities.

Making a charitable gift to an endowment fund at your local community foundation is a way to ensure that your contribution provides revenue for our organization in perpetuity. A gift to an endowment fund is never spent. Rather, it is invested, and each year a portion of the earnings is made available to our organization.
